A former Navy SEAL and Naval Academy graduate, Adam has lived and thrived inside a leadership laboratory since he was 19 years old. He understands the burdens of leadership and provides valuable insight to succeed in leadership positions across the professional spectrum from middle management to executives. Of equal or greater significance is his understanding of the DNA behind winning teams, the critical dynamic culture plays, and the actions required to get there. Adam explains how leaders and teams can perform at higher levels in the most competitive environments by applying his easy-to-understand tools.
Adam highlights how your mindset anchors your behavior. Just like exercising a muscle, you must develop the right mindset, which provides the framework to align your behavior with your values. A lot of people have the right ideas, but not all act on them. Adam helps you bridge that gap with his inspirational message and style that is personal and relatable. He highlights a necessary appreciation for the importance of nurturing your mindset over time, while powerfully illustrating your ability to evolve. That your destiny is what you make of tomorrow, not whining about yesterday. It is an uplifting but real conveyance of the human spirit and power of the mind. Values of courage, perseverance, humility, and family are present throughout.
This message is critical for leaders on an individual basis as well as for the culture of their team. As leaders, your teams will grow or languish based on your actions – – not so much your words or values framed on a poster.
Adam’s impassioned stories combined with pictures and sensational video bring all his triumph, loss, and grit to life. The resulting take-away has significant impact by helping people:
• learn great leadership is authentic – – not an 8-5 job
• build their team’s culture to grow and win
• behave in accordance with their values
• develop more courage
Adam also enjoys tailoring his message for a younger demographic (grade school and middle – high school). He highlights techniques that espouse;
• giving your best
• better teamwork
While Adam works with each client to identify the right combination of focus areas for an event, there are also established presentations to choose from.
Adam’s summer track coach was a critical influence in his young life. Upon initial interaction, he observed Adam selling himself short, which was regularly criticized. Adam eventually responded with increased faith and an attitude of boundless potential. No longer was he just competing but racing to win. Personal records were set. Adam finally understood the key was engaging his mind more than his body. That realization was a tremendous gift and turning point in his life. The fervent message his coach delivered was the genesis of that gift. Worth noting, this transpired over only three months. Years later, upon Adam’s Naval Academy graduation and selection to Navy SEAL training, his coach sent him the card pictured above. As written, “all you have done are the reasons I have the greatest job in the world”. Adam seeks to pay it forward which is why he’s passionate about coaching today.
